I often tell my writing students that William Carlos Williams was a doctor and wrote poems on his prescription pads. The size and shape of the pads clearly had an influence on some of his smaller pieces. It’s a kick to see 1. what he could do with a callling card and 2. what he looked like when he was in his medical office and at his desk. Will share this with my students on Monday when I begin a week of William Carlos Williams with them.
Thanks to Susanna Holsenbeck the Cooperative Arts and Humanities Magnet High School (Co-op)/Yale University liaison for introducing us to your delightful site.
